About Dave

There was never a question of what industry I would work in. My grandfather immigrated to the United States from Calabria, Italy in 1907 and opened his first restaurant just a few years later. I started working when I was 13 years old washing dishes and learning how to prepare food. After completing my education through The Culinary Institute of America, I began my professional career in the world of culinary arts. Being an executive chef took me through a variety of employment opportunities including catering NYC law firms, running a bed and breakfast, and successfully opening my own restaurants in Cooperstown, NY alongside the Baseball Hall of Fame.

My newest endeavor is now underway! The birth of Chef Dave Neil Mobile Kitchen & Catering Co allows me to offer food and libations at your convenience. We prepare your snacks, appetizers, and entrees all from our top-of-the-line equipment. Every event from Dave’s Mobil Kitchen is specialized to your taste and preferences.

I am stationed in Cooperstown, NY and migrate to Florida most Winters. My family shares and encourages my love of cooking for our local communities. You can find the kitchen parked next to my wife’s bohemian boutique, The Purple Star Boutique, right off of RT 28.
